Not just little girls like to hang upside down and cartwheel until they’re too dizzy to stand upright. Who wouldn’t like to one minute be spinning around a bar and then the next minute have total control and balance whilst walking along something not much wider than your mobile phone.

At Ballarat Gymsports we take the Australian Levels Program (ALP) very seriously and as such have introduced a new framework which caters for athletes competing in level 1 through to 10 plus International Development programs.

Our International and Australian coaches are a dedicated group with the team consisting of qualified School teachers, University presenters (gymnastics and sports medicine field) to ex Coaches from the Victoria High Performance Centre, plus others from the ranks of retired gymnasts, all of whom are registered and accredited with Gymnastics Australia, and who are all furthering their coaching qualifications. This means that Ballarat Gymsports boasts the highest qualified team of coaches in the Western Region of Victoria.

Ballarat Gymsports boasts the latest and newest apparatus including a  carbon fibre 15m x 15m sprung floor, Tumble and Air Floor, 3 Trampolines, 3 large foam pits, large air pit, 3 sets of WAG Uneven Bars, 8 Single Bars, 8 Beams, 4 Vaults and even a dedicated strength/core area and dance studio to assist in the development of our gymnasts.

Our girls successfully compete around Victoria in Metropolitan, Regional and State Championship events. It is nothing to have Gymsports being represented every second weekend somewhere in Victoria.

At Gymsports we know and understand that it takes more than dazzling leotards and lots of chalk to allow our gymnasts to achieve their goals. That’s why we work closely with our team of Choreographers, Exercise Specialists and our Medical team.

Ballarat Gymsports is fortunate to have a close relationship with a number of local Allied Health professionals such as Physiotherapists, Myotherapists, Chiropractors, Sports Trainers and new to 2022 Sports Nutritionists who understand our sport and are regularly seen on the floor understanding our sport in depth and providing coaches and gymnasts with helpful preventative advice.
