Not just little girls like to hang upside down and cartwheel until they’re too dizzy to stand upright. Who wouldn’t like to one minute be spinning around a bar and then the next minute have total control and balance whilst walking along something not much wider than your mobile phone.
At Ballarat Gymsports we take the Australian Levels Program (ALP) very seriously and as such have introduced a new framework which caters for athletes competing in level 1 through to 10 plus International Development programs.
Our International and Australian coaches are a dedicated group with the team consisting of qualified School teachers, University presenters (gymnastics and sports medicine field) to ex Coaches from the Victoria High Performance Centre, plus others from the ranks of retired gymnasts, all of whom are registered and accredited with Gymnastics Australia, and who are all furthering their coaching qualifications. This means that Ballarat Gymsports boasts the highest qualified team of coaches in the South West Region of Victoria.
Ballarat Gymsports boasts the latest and newest apparatus including a sprung floor, large foam pit, multiple sets of WAG equipment (Bars and Beams) and much more to assist in the development of our gymnasts.
Our girls successfully compete around Victoria in Metropolitan, Regional and State Championship events. It is nothing to have Gymsports being represented every second weekend somewhere in Victoria.
IT TAKES MORE THAN A LEOTARD
At Gymsports we know and understand that it takes more than dazzling leotards and lots of chalk to allow our gymnasts to achieve their goals. That’s why we work closely with our team of Choerographers, Exercise Specialists and our Medical team.
Ballarat Gymsports is fortunate to have a close relationship with local Physiotherapist Luke Blunden from OSM. Luke understands our sport and is regularly seen on the floor understanding our sport in depth and providing coaches and gymnasts with helpful preventative advice.

TERM 4 SESSION INFORMATION
All classes are currently suspended due to Stage 3 restrictions!
Levels 1 & 2 Classes
Levels 3 & 4 Classes
Levels 5 plus Classes
With all classes currently suspended due to stage 3, we will be running online activities for all enrolled members in classes. We strongly suggest that if you would like to keep up to date with the latest info and reserve your place for when we DO return, please enroll in your selected class (there are no charges for this enrollment!)
For Levels 1 to 3:
Where there is no ENROL link against a class, please contact Reception.
Where there is a WAITING link against a class, this indicates a waiting list exists, by still completing the information, reception can then advise you when either an opening exists or a new class is created.
Existing members can also choose to re-enrol via their family portal site.
For Levels 4 plus:
All participants MUST be prebooked in to their session due to the new COVID-safe rules before attending. Please DO NOT simply turn up to a session.
Existing members will automatically be re-enrolled by Administration staff, based upon 2019 Coaches advice. An email advising of assigned class/es will be sent as well as parents being able to view in the Parental Portal.
New members will need to contact Reception and organise an assessment session for correct allocation.
All competitive athletes will also be automatically enrolled in to our BGS@home training program which will be reflected on your account.
Where a participant is enrolled in multiple days, your invoice will reflect the adjusted amount.
Where families opted-in to assist the club at the end of Term 1, this discount will be manually applied and reflected on your account.
Registration and Insurance fees are also applicable and payable upon enrollment (these fees may not be initially reflected on your invoice, in these instances they will be added manually and a new invoice sent).
