CHEERLEADING

Cheerleading is a competition sport that involves athletes performing a two and half minute routine composed of stunting, pyramids, group tumbling and dance. Teams perform their routine at competitions against other teams within their age group/level division.

Our Cheerleading teams differ from other teams by training all year round for competitions. They also differ from most other sports in that EVERY team member is a vital and integral part of the team and the performance. Everybody has an important part to play! Each member of the squad is trained in specific aspects of the sport to develop their skills to reach theirs and the teams maximum potential.

Due to the surge and increased interest for Cheerleading in Ballarat, Team IGNITE have increased the number of teams, pathways and opportunities in 2025. Introducing new programs and activities for everyone wanting to tryout and participate in this fast, adrenalin charged sport will enable even more athletes to have a go, have fun and be amazing!
